Local Movers in Boston

Reliable local moving services for Boston and surrounding areas

Road Warrior Moving and Storage offers flexible options for your residential move, whether you're relocating a single piece of furniture or an entire four-bedroom home. Early in the process, an experienced estimator walks through your home with you and helps you customize your move using the best options we provide. In addition, our highly qualified local movers handle moves in and around Boston with skill and care. Furthermore, we are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (MDPU #30739), so check out their Guide to Moving Within Massachusetts on Mass.gov to see how well we align with their rules and regulations, as well as to get other useful information about your upcoming move.

Road Warrior Moving performs local relocations on an hourly basis. Asa a result, the total time required for your move depends on the size of your household and the travel time between locations. Other factors also influence the duration, such as the type of access at both locations, specialty items like pianos or safes, the need for hoisting or craning, the amount of disassembly required, and even the weather on your moving day.

  • We charge a three hour minimum for local moves, and after that, we bill time in 15-minute increments.
  • However, due to the increasing cost of diesel, we may apply a fuel surcharge.

Children and Pets

Moving day can feel especially stressful for young children and pets. For this reason, it's usually best to have someone you trust look after them during the move. Doing so frees up your time and allows you to focus on the details of the day, especially if you are juggling closings or other time sensitive tasks. In addition, without little ones under foot, our crew can work more efficiently, which often reduces the total time—and cost—of your move.

House Closings

Ideally, you won't need to close on a house—let alone two houses—on moving day. However, if you do, the best strategy is to schedule the first closing as close to your old home as possible. As a result, this approach allows our crew to arrive early, meet with you, and answer any questions about the move. Additionally, it gives you enough time to reach your closing without feeling rushed.
